It's funny where life takes you. After a 20 year career in the financial services industry, which took me from the trading floor of the American Stock Exchange to various roles as a sales and proprietary trader, I found myself pondering life's next chapter.
My wife Isabel and I met nearly 25 years ago at NYU and spent much of our time in the East Village. Through the years she developed a passion and talent for cooking. The recipes that she has created over the years led us to explore opening a new business in the food industry.
My business experience has taught me several lessons, but the main takeaway for me after dealing with many CEO's through the years has been that the success of any business depends on the quality of their product and their commitment to excellent customer service.
Isabel and I decided it was time to create the best pizza in the East Village. It is this combination of a great product along with superior customer service that separates Proto's Pizza from everyone else.
